Dear Friends,

Thank you for all the love and support you have shown Scargill over the Summer period, there is much to give thanks for and celebrate from Summerfest, group visits and our music week.

As we enter this Autumn season, we are looking forward to welcoming many guests through our doors for a variety of events such as church weekends, school groups, silent retreats and walking weeks.

Thank you for your support and prayers in this transition time as we prepare for Annie to take on the role of community leader from Tuesday 6th October. Dave has held this position, along with his normal duties, since July this year when Phil and Diane retired. We very much thank Dave for leading the community during this time and helping us all to trust and hope in a God who provides for us as we walk the Pathway together into the future.

We are very excited to announce the arrival of Julie & Rog and Andy who have joined as community members, after previously spending time with us on sabbatical. Please pray for them as they settle in.

We are also pleased to be able to announce that Rev Stephanie Buchanan will be joining community and will be part of the Pastoral Team as one of our Chaplains. Stephanie is currently the Vicar of St John the Baptist Church in Wakefield and will be moving to Scargill in January next year. Do keep her in your prayers as she prepares to leave Wakefield and join community at Scargill.

There are still spaces on these October residential events, we would love to see you!:
Fri 11 to Sun 13 Oct – Renew Refresh Restore
Fri 23 to Sun 25 Oct – Celebrating Difference and Embracing Diversity

Do also look at our availability for November and December residential events.

Diane continues to write reflections from her new home, Here is a link to her latest one about corn on the cob

With love and prayers from Annie, Dave and the Scargill Community
