We understand how important food can be on many levels, and we aim to provide good, sustainable, hearty food which can be enjoyed by everyone. Our dining room is moderate in size, bright and airy. Dining is family style, with 6 or 7 people at a table. In the evening, your food will be brought to your table by a member of the community who will serve the meal and sit with you. You are our guests, and this is often a rich time in which we can all get to know one another a bit better.

We recognise that the environmental impact of meat is significant and so we enjoy two vegetarian evening meals each week.

Our menu is varied and we source locally whenever we can, here are examples of some of the suppliers that we use and our reasons for choosing them:

We love our planet and know that through our food we can make a real difference.

Special Dietary Requirements

We try to cater for every dietary need, so please let us know of any special dietary requirements when booking. Once here, just let the community member serving your meal table know that you have a special diet that you have told us about, and they’ll collect your meal from the kitchen.

Breakfast

In the week, we offer a wholesome and plentiful continental breakfast including cereals, fruit, yoghurt, croissants – and as much toast as you can eat! Programmed weekend and midweek breaks include an English breakfast on at least one day.

Lunch

Lunch is usually buffet style – perhaps homemade pizza, soup, quiche or jacket potatoes with various fillings and salads.

Dinner

Dinner is a two-course set meal, followed by coffee. The menu is varied and well-balanced.  We always serve a delicious pudding, but for those of you who would rather, fruit and yoghurts are also available.
