The Council are delighted to announce that after a full discernment and rigorous interview process, Rev Annie Naish has been appointed to the role of Community Leader of Scargill, following a unanimous decision by the interviewing group. Dave Lucas will continue in this role until the end of September and then hand over to Annie. Annie has been a Chaplain at Scargill for 3 years and this appointment as Community Leader is for a 1 to 2 year period. This will be a time of “ploughing the ground” in preparation for the next season at Scargill.
As many of you know, our recruitment process earlier this year for the next leader of Scargill was unsuccessful. We knew the Lord was asking us to trust him and sensed that we were being led to a “bridge” period. In March, Annie sensed God was asking her to “step up” as Community Leader. Council and Community have been discerning and testing this call together and are thrilled that God has provided for Scargill in this way.
Please continue to pray for the Community, the Leadership Team and in particular for Annie as she prepares to take on this new role.
