This online quiet day is offered as part of National Retreat Week and is an introduction to the world of retreats. There will be a warm welcome for you at this Quiet Day led by Shaun Lambert.
Shaun will draw on the life of Jesus as our model for the spiritual practices of silence, solitude, meditation on scripture and watchfulness. These themes will be drawn on from Mark’s gospel. In today’s world of distraction and anxiety this day is designed to be a sanctuary, a time of Sabbath rest.
Shaun Lambert is Honorary Mindfulness Chaplain here at Scargill and part of the extended community.
This day will be a mix of input sessions, opportunities for discussion in small groups and in-between time to reflect and pray.
A ticket covers one device to connect and is not per person, for example, if two of you share a laptop, you just need one ticket.
