We are encouraged to read it, and when we do – for the first or umpteenth time – we realise that Moby Dick or Ulysses might be easier prospects. So what makes for an enjoyable engagement with the Holy Book, and how do we cope with all the bits that don’t sound very Christian? This retreat will deal with the big picture and the worrisome details. Proof of bible knowledge or Scripture Union membership is not required.
