The disciples are bewildered at Jesus’ transfiguration, and resist allowing the glory to be unmanageable instead of cosy. They resist following the glory downhill, back into the messiness of life. The transfiguration is a lot like the path we often walk, courageous, scared, and occasionally resistant. With the aid of Scripture, ancient mystics and contemporary voices we’ll explore what the riches of this story might bring to our patient presence and action in the world in which we live.
