Sometimes it seems as though the institutions we once looked to for direction and stability are crumbling, if they haven’t already fallen down. When life doesn’t turn out as we imagined it might, where do we find hope to carry on? What might God be doing – even in the ruins? With time and space to reflect together, we’ll look, gently, at some Old Testament characters including Ruth, Nehemiah and Isaiah. We’ll ask whether God really is ‘doing a new thing’, and consider how we respond to God’s work in the world.
