Elaine Storkey

Matthew’s Gospel speaks as clearly to us as to the Jewish community who first received it. But we understand it even better when we hear it as they heard it and grasp the life-changing significance of Jesus. So much in this Gospel proclaims Jesus as God’s anointed One, whose birth, life, teaching, miracles, death and resurrection offers hope to the whole of humankind. We’ll unpack it together, and maybe even discover things we never knew were there!

Elaine spent many months combing through the scholarship on Matthew’s Gospel to write a book which shows its relevance to our own times. She would love to share this with you this week.
