John Bell

This is an online-only event.

John Bell invites us to explore how our imagination can bring us closer to God.

Join us to enjoy five stimulating and imaginative sessions, running on the mornings of Wednesday 4th, Thursday 5th, and Friday 6th November, that explore our God-given imagination:

Regarded by some as a dubious entity, the imagination is actually a means by which we can think creatively about ourselves, our faith and our future. The psalmists, the prophets and Jesus all used their imaginations to startle people into a deeper understanding of God and his purposes. This is what we will explore in the retreat.

John Bell is a Resource Worker with The Iona Community, who lectures, preaches and conducts seminars across the denominations. He is a hymn writer, author and occasional broadcaster, but retains a primary passion for congregational song. John is based in Glasgow and works with his colleagues in the areas of music, worship and spirituality.

A ticket covers one device to connect and is not per person, for example, if two of you share a laptop, you just need one ticket. The five sessions will also be available online later each day if you can’t make it live.

Session times:

Wed 4 Nov: 10am; 12 noon

Thu 5 Nov: 10am; 12 noon

Fri 6 Nov: 10am

If you would like to join this conference but the cost of the ticket is a difficulty for you, then contact Phil in confidence about a bursary to help with the cost.
