It is sometimes said that we are most truly who we are in the setting of our family… To a large measure, the Old Testament records the loving purposes of God through family life. We see the good, the bad and the ugly in the story of Joseph. It’s a story of high drama and deep emotion. Through this very human saga, God is at work in and through the life of Joseph – even though he must have doubted. But a hidden God is not an absent one. That’s just one of the many lessons which we shall find helpful in our own discipleship as we share the Joseph story…. Before his retirement in 2016, Paul served as Archdeacon of Leeds. He is married to Judi and they have three adult sons.
