When Jesus fed the 5000 in John’s Gospel, he said, ‘Let nothing be wasted’. Everything was collected in. This week gets us to think about whole life transformation, for that is the message of the Gospel. God doesn’t do waste – and under God’s grace nothing is wasted: it can be recycled and used to bring love and new life, whether it be the mess in our bins or lives. We’ll look afresh at what it means to be good stewards of God’s beautiful world and how we care for it. We’ll consider our attitude to waste and recycling, our unfortunate reliance on plastic, and how God lovingly looks at our lives, saying ‘let nothing be wasted’.
