We live in a culture where we don’t have to remember any more and yet in the sacrament of communion, Jesus commands us to remember him. What is it to remember? Why and how do we remember through scripture, singing and spiritual practices? Mike and Shaun will explore the biblical theme of remembering through their unique blend of mindfulness and singing, which has remembering at its heart. No musical experience required; all are welcome!

Paying attention can be considered the highest form of love. Mike and Shaun, with their seamless blend of mindfulness and singing, will explore some of the stories of attentive love at the beginning of Luke’s gospel. Through mindful
practice and plenty of mindful singing they will help us to explore and cultivate attentive love in our own lives. No experience of either mindfulness or singing is needed and you don’t need to read music, as everything is taught by ear.
Shaun is an author, mindfulness researcher, psychotherapist and Baptist minister. Mike is a former chaplain at Scargill.
