Dave and Simeon will draw us into their stories, inviting us to share our own, as we enter the season of Lent. These two have been friends for over 30 years, sharing a passion for communicating the Christian story in creative and engaging ways. Come and be excited by the Bible, amazed by stories of faith, and enthralled afresh by the Father’s love.

]]> Turn and Face the Change https://scargillmovement.org/visit/event/turn-and-face-the-change/ Mon, 19 Oct 2026 10:48:37 +0000 https://scargillmovement.org/?post_type=event&p=21406 Change is life’s one constant. Many Bible characters faced changes at different points in their lives, just as we do, some life-giving, some leaving us lost. This theme resonates with Phil and Dave as they both face significant changes. We’ll journey with Elizabeth and Zechariah, Paul and Mary Magdalene, as God guides them through change, strengthening, comforting and speaking to them through events and people around them. There will be opportunities to share what has challenged and sustained us during times of change.

]]> Surprising Encounters with Jesus https://scargillmovement.org/visit/event/surprising-encounters-with-jesus/ Mon, 11 May 2026 09:06:42 +0000 https://scargillmovement.org/?post_type=event&p=20516 Jesus loved meeting people, and often grabbed at unexpected opportunities to do this. We will take a look at some of the encounters he experienced and what they might mean for us today. Using stories, visuals, Bible tales and his own
experiences Dave will take a fresh look at some of the accounts in the gospels about the people Jesus met, and what happened in those encounters. Dave is a writer and speaker who loves to share Biblical stories in a contemporary and
relevant way, often drawing on films, TV and news stories.

Note: the correct dates for this are the 1st – 5th February
